Colored plastic windows are made from profiles obtained through coextrusion, fusing white PVC with a colored acrylic layer. This unique coextrusion technology allows the PVC profile surface to be covered with up to a 2mm thick colored acrylic layer. By fusing the white profile with colored acrylic at high temperatures, a highly durable, very smooth, and non-porous surface is obtained. The colored coating does not delaminate or peel.

“B&W Systems” colored windows have a weather-resistant surface that does not scratch, requires no special maintenance, and is easily washable with regular cleaning agents. Colored plastic window profiles feature rich colors that do not need repainting and do not overheat.

Coextrusion Process

During the production process, a colored 2 mm thick acrylic layer (2) is inseparably fused (3) with the white PVC profile (1) through coextrusion. The acrylic provides the desired color, ensuring the profile does not fade in the sun and becomes even more resistant to mechanical impact. The acrylic layer covers only the exterior part of the window, while the interior side remains white, making it easy to match with various interior styles.

  • Resistance to weather conditions: ACRYLCOLOR surfaces are coated with acrylic, which preserves the natural color of the windows. ACRYLCOLOR window profiles are resistant and durable, maintaining their properties even in extreme weather conditions.
  • Easy maintenance, cleaning, and washing: ACRYLCOLOR profiles require minimal special care and are easy to clean. Colored windows have dirt-repellent properties, making them easy to clean with regular cleaning agents. The top colored coating does not peel or fade, avoiding the need for extensive polishing and wiping of surfaces. There are no additional costs for maintenance and initial restoration.
  • Scratch resistance: The surface of windows made from ACRYLCOLOR profiles is gently matte and non-porous. The fusion of PVC and acrylic at very high temperatures provides exceptional resistance to external mechanical impact. They are not only highly scratch-resistant but also resistant to dust and dirt.
  • High reflectivity: Sunlight passes through the translucent acrylic layer, reflecting from the main white PVC surface. Therefore, the profile significantly heats up less when exposed to sunlight. Meanwhile, the temperature difference between standard white PVC windows and windows made from ACRYLCOLOR profiles is very insignificant.
  • Ecology, conservation of natural resources: ACRYLCOLOR windows can be 100% recycled. Residues of profiles have long been included in the material cycle for reuse. Old, unused windows can be recycled into granules, and plastic particles are sent for reprocessing. The result of these operations is high-quality material, which can be used for new window profiles and other products. This ensures a closed material recycling cycle.
